Released in 1972, Summer Side of Life was Lightfoot's third album for Warner/Reprise. While "Cotton Jenny" is probably the best known song, partly because of the cover by Anne Murray, my favorites are the title track "Summer Side of Life," "10 Degrees and Getting Colder," "Talking in My Sleep," "Nous Vivons Ensemble," and "Redwood Hill."

The Warner CD is available used only from 3rd party sellers; the Wounded Bird reissue seems to have some new CDs available from 3rd party sellers at an affordable price. The album is also available as an MP3 download.
